Seven-week E-course Supporting Professionals when Something Happens Here is the thing - some courses help you with the terminology around pregnancy loss, infant death or traumatic childbirth. Some courses help you understand trauma and grief theory. This course is for you IF you want to know all of that, learn how to apply it for the families you work with AND learn how to nurture yourself through this and be present in YOUR LIFE.
Research points to a high rate of compassion fatigue and secondary trauma with professionals navigating pregnancy loss, infant death, or traumatic childbirth. We know that part of the prevention is education and training to support the professional in being competent with the care they provide. We also know that when trauma does not heal it can affect one’s ability to be responsive and present during the next emergency. Without healing, trauma changes the way we interact with the world- affecting our professional skills and personal connections.
